Meinl International Power Ltd. (MIP) finalized a contract for the acquisition of a wind facility in Germany. The closing of acquisition is dependent on various conditions. The total amount of 37 wind turbines has the capacity of 55,5 MW. The transaction with the investment capacity of 81 Mio. € is the thirteenth investment by MIP since the initial public offering begun in 2007.
MIP shows strong interest in projects in Eastern and South Eastern Europe. At present, these projects are being developed and analyzed in the following countries: Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland and Croatia. The market place for wind energy facilities is currently in an early stage of development depending on differential general regulations in each country.
